Hakurei turnips are a milder, sweeter variety of turnips that are delicious raw--think like the best radish you've ever eaten, but.. better. They're wonderful sliced in salads, or made into a quick pickle, or even just sliced and eaten with a sprinkle of sea salt.
The greens are delicious too! Use them just like you would any other tender cooking greens--in soups, sauteed with garlic and olive oil, or as the main ingredient in saag.
