It's officially fall--classic turnips have arrived!
These turnips are a bit denser and spicier than the Hakurei turnips we've had since earlier in the season. They are delicious roasted, added to soups, mashed, or pickled. I pretty much eat turnips the way the rest of the world eats potatoes!
The greens are delicious too! Use them just like you would any other tender cooking greens--in soups, sauteed with garlic and olive oil, or as the main ingredient in saag.
